Dr. Esam Murad is a financial and business research specialist with a background in sovereign credit analysis, trade finance, and strategy research. His work sits at the intersection of credit risk, data analytics and market intelligence, helping institutions and clients turn complex financial information into decisions they can act on.
He began his career in credit ratings as a Sovereign Credit Rating Analyst at the Islamic International Rating Agency (IIRA) in Bahrain, assessing sovereigns and financial institutions across the MENA region. He later worked in trade finance research at Afreximbank and in business research at Infomineo, supporting one of the world's leading strategy consulting firms on engagements across sectors and geographies.
Alongside his research practice, Esam works as a business intelligence and analytics consultant, building reporting and data models that give organisations clearer visibility over performance. He is a Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300).
He holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from SSBM Geneva, an MSc in International Business Management from Kingston University, and a BSc in Business and Management from the University of Buckingham. He is currently completing an MSc in FinTech, with a dissertation on an AI and blockchain-enabled cross-border credit rating platform for EU and GCC markets.
